Winemaker Notes
This Chardonnay is the product of Jed Steele’s five decades of crafting that great varietal Chardonnay. Barrel fermentation and aging in European oak barrels, along with partial malo-lactic fermentation, imbue this wine with a wonderfully round palate that pleasantly lingers until the wine finishes on a crisp note.
Tasting Notes
The Santa Maria fruit adds a tropical character to the wine; flavors and aroma of mango, pineapple, and papaya. The Sonoma vineyards attribute citrus character and acid to the Cuvée.
Pairing: Halibut with a white wine burre blanc sauce complement the complex flavors of the Cuvée Chardonnay nicely.
