Winemaker Notes
Marc Brédif Vouvray Classic is a monovarietal Chenin Blanc white wine from the AOC Vouvray. It is produced by Maison Brédif.
Maison Brédif is a winery founded at the end of the 19th century and named Château les Roches. It is one of the Loire’s great wineries. Marc Brédif, nephew of the founder, inherited it and gave it his name in 1919. Years later, in 1980, it was acquired by Baron Patrick Ladoucette.
The grapes for Marc Brédif Vouvray Classic are harvested by hand to respect their integrity to the maximum and so that an initial selection of bunches can be made in the field. Once in the cellar, they are pressed and the must is clarified for 18 to 24 hours to clean it. It is then fermented at a controlled temperature and the wine ends up ageing on lees for 9 months in a tank.
Marc Brédif Vouvray Classic is a fruity and somewhat floral wine. Fresh, balanced and pleasant on the palate.
