Inside Burgundy
From Pellands and Pelles Dessus, old vines in both. Pale lemon and green in colour. The nose is richer and oakier than I would expect with plum and peach notes, backed by a very light toastiness. Plump, custard texture, medium length. 20% new wood has been employed, using a light toast from various coopers – Rousseau, Chassin and Ermitage. Jasper Morris
