94pts Wine Spectator
A wine that continues to improve with age. Shows loads of ripe plum, almost prune, with hints of vanilla and mineral. Full, chewy and tight.
Winemaker Notes
Lynch-Bages made primarily from Cabernet-Sauvignon, is famous for its fine bouquet and rich tannin, which becomes soft and delicious with age. Lynch-Bages is powerful with a long aftertaste. It is typical of the greatest wines of Pauillac.
Deep color. The nose is quite complex, though closed-in at this stage. Promising hints of very ripe fruit. Starts off very rich on the palate, with an impressive tannic structure. Lots of power and impressive length.
Blend: 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot
